Qubox.com
Working with the Synature management team, I set about conducting a rigorous market analysis for qubox.com, an internet tool which links people with similar attitudes to life experiences such as love, sport, and music. From this, I developed a tailored communications programme that would take the service from concept to launch.
As nothing like qubox.com exists, I partnered with the creative agency bluegg to manage a User Led Design programme so we could understand how to position it to consumers. ULD is a new technique that takes its lead from focus groups, allowing you to shape the information provided by the target audience into web and marketing materials they can identify with. We used it to deliver a brand identity and website that we knew would be well received.
Having reached this stage, we chose to launch qubox.com using a mix of traditional and new media because of the tool’s web-based application. It’s worth noting that if something’s used on the web, market it on the web. Again, using ULD, we were able to develop a successful widget for the social networking site, Facebook. Within a few months, qubox.com had secured 10,000 recruits from this alone. We’ve since worked hard to keep momentum high with the delivery of a series of newsletters to update users on any activity within their own personal ‘qubox’.
